HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

Hazardous Materials and Asbestos pose significant risks for building owners, operators and tenants (PCBU’s), beyond liability and non-compliance.

Although the management of Asbestos and Hazardous Materials is heavily regulated across Australia, it is still common to see buildings, sites and products that either do not conform to the current standards or pose an immediate risk to the health of occupants, visitors and contractors.

Our trusted environmental and hygiene consultants undertake detailed tests and analyses, develop systems and control strategies and provide effective and compliant remediation and management plans to keep people safer and healthier.

OUR NATIONAL ORGANISATION, BACKED BY EXPERT PRACTITIONERS HAS ESTABLISHED A REPUTATION AS AUSTRALIA'S FOREMOST TRUSTED AND EXPERIENCED COMPLIANCE ADVISOR, SUPPORTED BY A ZERO-CLAIM HISTORY SPANNING 38 YEARS.

ASBESTOS & HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ASSESSMENTS

Building owners, operators and in some cases, building tenants (or PCBU’s) have a legislative requirement and duty of care to protect occupants from exposure to Asbestos or hazardous materials. Buildings constructed before 2003 must invest in an Asbestos Assessment, where an Asbestos Register is provided and where required, further plans or removal may be advised on.

ASBESTOS & HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ABATEMENT HYGIENE SERVICES

How many parties does it take to remove Asbestos or Hazardous Materials? Actually two. One to remove the Asbestos & a separate independent consultant to verification that the works have been completed in line with the regulations, codes of practices and standard. The latter process is called Hygiene Services, and that’s where our specialists really excel.

Be it Asbestos, Lead or Synthetic Mineral Fibres (SMF); each can have disastrous impacts on human health if fibres become airborne. Whilst there are safe and unsafe levels of these fibres, you just don’t know until you undertake NATA Accredited testing and air monitoring.
