Glazed Assemblies

The Building Code of Australia in Part B1 Structural Provisions allows for glazed assemblies in buildings, providing compliance with specified requirements under the building regulations. The building surveyor/ building certifier should be specific in the description used in the essential safety measures determination/ schedule so that the essential safety measures auditor can locate all glazed assemblies.

Essential Safety Measures Audit – Glazed Assemblies

An essential safety measures auditor to ensure fire safety compliance must locate the glazed assemblies in the building and report any defects in the building’s essential safety measures logbook to allow signing the Annual Statement, Annual Certificate Compliance, Annual Fire Safety Statement, Annual Maintenance Statement and Annual Occupiers Statement.
