Façade Design, Emergency Planning and Managing the Building Environment Digitally
The workshop has three themes relevant to today’s built environment. Sessions 1 and 3 will focus on the design, approval and construction process for commercial building facades. The combustible cladding crisis and increase in water ingress building defects indicates there is a need for an increase in the level of competency of building practitioners to ensure compliance with Australia’s building requirements. Session 2 will provide an overview of a best practice approach to emergency planning for commercial buildings whilst Session 4 will explore the opportunities and benefits digital technology such as 3D scanning and Virtual Reality for managing and maintaining our built environment.
What you will learn:
- Key factors in designing, approving and constructing compliant building facades
- How to implement a best practice approach to emergency planning for commercial buildings
- The opportunities and benefits available managing the built environment digitally
