What’s the role:

We’re looking for a content and/or communications expert to join our team and support Hendry’s growth by producing engaging content and communications across digital and traditional channels.

Working under the guidance of the Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll be part of a small and friendly team where you will be the go-to person for planning and coordinating communications and content for both an internal and external audience.


What you’ll do:

As a Communications & Content expert, you’ll be the go-to person at Hendry for engaging, high-value content and copy. This is your opportunity to shine bright in a small and agile team, where everyone’s contribution is valued.

  • Manage Hendry’s content and communications schedule – including planning, developing, posting/sending and reporting
  • Work with service line and technical experts to produce engaging Hendry editorial, blog and vlog content
  • Coordinate and produce Hendry internal communications – including Monthly newsletter, COVID-19 communications, team engagement campaigns, etc
  • Develop strategy and produce engaging external communications in support of service line objectives and campaigns.
  • Maintain website copy and content – working alongside the Graphic Design & Digital Coordinator and the Marketing Communications Manager
  • When required: work with the service line and technical teams to produce engaging presentations and events
  • When required: work with senior leadership to write engaging bid/tender content
  • When required: work with our Graphic Design expert and our Emergency Planning team to produce engaging training videos.


What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3+ years in a similar role in a professional services organisation or construction/property industry
  • Experience leading, developing and implementing communications, PR and content strategies to support the successful implementation of projects and ongoing promotion – or a strong desire to expand these skills.
  • Experience engaging diverse populations using traditional and digital channels – writing and producing content/communications content across multiple formats (digital, social, seo, ad copy, editorial/blog, video, etc)
  • The ability to work autonomously and with a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at once
  • Strong commitment to problem-solving – unafraid to voice concerns and propose solutions

It would be advantageous to have:

  • Degree-level qualification in Marketing/Communications or Journalism (or similar)
  • Be up to date with the Australian COVID-19 Vaccination schedule
  • Experience in a B2B Professional Services environment or the Property Sector
  • An understanding of social media metrics, their interpretation and methods to enhance search engine optimisation
  • Creative with an eye for design, and experience using the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience producing and/or directing video content – or a desire to expand this skill set.
  •  Experience managing creative projects and processes.
  • An interest in using Digital and Social to tell a story about a product, category, brand, or trend
