Administration Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of Australia’s leading Building Surveying and Property Compliance Solutions companies. Hendry has operated for over 30 years as a market leader; nationally around Australia; and provides top quality professional services across a diverse range of industries. This opportunity has arisen, as Hendry is going through a rapid expansion and is searching for the right candidate to join this busy and dedicated administration team. Working in a small team and reporting to the Building Surveying Administration Coordinator, this position will oversee and assist with fee submissions, tenders, reports, document management as well as other duties to support the wider Building Surveying team and Hendry. This position would suit an individual with solid skills and experience in the building industry.  The successful applicant will possess a meticulous and exceptional eye for detail and the ability to process high level documentation.  You will be confident and fluent in liaising with both external and internal stakeholders.

The successful applicant’s duties will include:

  • Assisting with document management (hard copy/electronic documents)
  • Data entry (building permits, consulting reports)
  • Coordination and documentation of Building Surveying meetings and forums
  • Provide assistance to the Administration Coordinator
  • Liaise/assist Building Surveyors with projects and co-ordination, including interstate offices
  • General administration tasks

  • Willing to learn and apply new skills including new software applications
  • Proactive and have initiative and be able to work unsupervised
  • A team player with a “can-do”, mature, reliable, positive attitude
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills
  • Microsoft Office Picture Manager preferred
  • Minimum 45wpm
  • Adobe/PDF XChange preferred
