WA – HENDRY building surveyors advise that the Building Act 2011 requires builders of all classes of buildings (houses, shops, factories, hospitals etc) to provide a notice of completion of the building works within seven days of completing the building works under the building permit.

Under the Building Act 2011 the notice of completion served on the relevant Permit Authority must:

(a) be in a approved form; and

(b) state that the work, or the stage of the work, for which the permit was granted, is completed; and

(c) be accompanied by a copy of a certificate for each inspection or test mentioned in the Certificate of Design Compliance.
