This opportunity has arisen as Hendry is currently undergoing a rapid growth phase and is searching for the right candidates to join the building surveying team in our Sydney office. The successful candidate will not only assist the company in reaching its goals, but to also become a valued member of the team.

The successful applicant’s duties will include:

  • Assess and certify design documents for building projects
  • Inspect buildings to ensure compliance with the relevant building legislation
  • Undertake building inspections associated with due diligence building audits, fire safety audits, building condition audits and statutory inspection regimes where required
  • Compliance auditing
  • Essential Safety Measures audits
  • Manage and deliver a broad range of consultancy services to a developing client base
  • Combine technical and business management skills in developing successful client relationships
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with group managers and senior personnel

To be considered for this role, the successful applicant must possess the following skills and experience:

  • Currently be registered as an Accredited Certifier/A1 Building Surveyor or highly competent A2
  • Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and its Regulations, relevant State Environmental Planning Policies & the Building Code of Australia
  • Demonstrate a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve disputes
  • Write and present cohesive, coherent and technically sound reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in either Local Government or Private Practice
  • Valid NSW drivers licence
  • Eligible for Federal Police Clearance and other agency security clearances
  • Exceptional customer service, networking and marketing skills
