This opportunity has arisen as Hendry is currently undergoing a rapid growth phase and is searching for the right candidates to join the building surveying team in our Adelaide office. The successful candidate will not only assist the company in reaching its goals, but to also become a valued member of the team.

The successful applicant’s duties will include:

  • Assess and certify design documents for building projects
  • Inspect buildings to ensure compliance with the relevant building legislation
  • Undertake building inspections associated with due diligence, building audits, fire safety audits, building condition audits and statutory inspection regimes where required
  • Assist management in marketing and growth of Hendry Group
  • Compliance auditing
  • Essential Safety Measures audits

To be considered for this role, the successful applicant must possess the following skills and experience:

  • Currently be registered as a  Private Certifier preferred
  • Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the, Development Act and Development Regulations,  Building Code of Australia & Australian Standards
  • Demonstrate a “can do” attitude
  • Exceptional customer service, networking and marketing skills
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve disputes
  • Write and present cohesive, coherent and technically sound reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in either Local Government or Private Practice
  • Valid  SA drivers licence
  • Eligible for a Federal Police Clearance and other agency security clearances
  • Must be able to achieve AIBS Accreditation
